You understand and agree that once you have agreed to these terms and conditions you cannot withdraw, retract or cancel your Road Safety Pledge.


“Road Safety Pledge” includes your pledge to comply with all the laws and regulations that apply to the use of South African roads, and a road safety awareness campaign conducted and endorsed by us.

“we”, “us”, “our” means Unitrans, including its subsidiaries and partners.

“you”, “your” means the person who has voluntarily pledged his/her commitment to the Road Safety Pledge.


As a responsible citizen of South Africa, you voluntarily pledge to comply with all the laws and regulations that apply to the use of South African roads. You agree that your commitment will contribute to making our roads safer.


We respect your right to privacy. We need to process your personal information in order to provide you with relevant communication regarding the Road Safety Pledge and related campaigns, which will include newsletters containing valuable information, related promotions and voluntary tasks to be performed for purposes of showing your commitment to the Road Safety Pledge, where you have given us your consent to do so.

If you agree to these terms and conditions, you agree to:

• The processing and further processing of your personal information by us or any of our operators or agents including, but not limited to, sub-contractors (including their agents) and professional advisers, on the condition that they will keep your information confidential;
• And the retention by us of your personal information for as long as permitted or required for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention, financial crime prevention and for marketing purposes.


From time to time, we wish to be able to communicate with you regarding your Road Safety Pledge and to provide you with information and updates that we believe will be of interest to you. Should you not want to be contacted in this regard you must notify us by clicking the unsubscribe button that will communicate the following: “I do not want to receive any communications from you regarding the Road Safety Pledge and I understand that this means that I shall not be provided with any information that may be of value to me.”

If you are happy to receive such communications, and you click to agree to these terms and conditions, you also agree that we may use your personal information to communicate with you from time to time regarding the Road Safety Pledge and to provide you with information and other offers that we believe will be of interest to you.


We support the Road Safety Pledge as a campaign to promote road safety awareness in South Africa. We will not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage or liability, direct or indirect, which any person may suffer or incur as a result of or in connection with the Road Safety Pledge or the road safety awareness campaign.
